To Each His Own
Saturday, April 17, 2010I didn't really mind that Peter Steele was into God and shit. To each his own, as they say. It's probably his last ray of hope since his health was failing him. If medications fails you, the only thing left is to choose to hold on to whatever that might make you live longer or just bury yourself with grief until your last breath. Since Peter is a strong man, in spirit, he chose to hold on to what he thought was his last ray of hope - God. If he didn't embrace that faith, he'd probably die earlier. One thing that that religion gives you is the faith to believe in God and it gives people hope. Healing the spirit and giving hope is religion's job anyway. That's about all the things a religion can give you.
AND DON'T ASSOCIATE RELIGION WITH BEING A GOTH. You don't have to be an anti-religion, anti-God, anti-christ, anti-whateverfuckitis to be a Goth, for crying out loud. All of you guys are who thinks that Goth, punk, metal, doom, trash are all god-haters, are idiots. If you're one, then review yourself, goddamit.
PS: I'm an ATHEIST. Thrust that in your decaying brain. Stab that in your dying heart.
PPS: RIP Peter Steele. You will always be my most favorite vocalist! m/

Those people who does silly stereotypes like atheism = goth, catholicism= bad behavior lives a sad life. It's like they've made a wall on themselves.

ReplyDeleteHmmm.. I really don't know how I can possibly comment on this. You know me, I have been a believer of God since.. I was a little kid. I was raised by my parents to believe in God and I am forever thankful to my mom for that. I never regret it. It's God who gives me strength and power. It's God who healed my diseases. The reason I am here is because of God.
Our family did experience too many miracles that it's hard not to believe they are from God. Although I don't believe in religion, I believe in relationship. It's the relationship with God that gives breathe to my life. I love God and I know He won't give up on me even if I am usually (or always?) stubborn (yeah I am).
I don't believe that all metal, punk, etc are God-haters. My favorite singer Malin Berggren wanted to be a punk but she has close relationship to God. But maybe it's just that I simply don't like how metal, punk and the likes sound. I get headaches, even migraine, whenever I listen to heavy metal music.
Hmmphh..good day to sir im a little bit confused of what you have put in your post that you are a Anti-christ?..anyways..Goth are people who have too many sadness in their life..that's my faith!.
