A Rude Lady

Saturday, January 22, 2005

We went to a publisher's house to ask for sponsorship for Tribe Ko 'To, our school organization, at Villa Gloria Subdivision this morning. The lady (publisher) was rude she started ranting even before we could speak a word. She emphasized, "If you need advertisements from my paper, you need to PAY the proper price for it. Not all things in this world are free." Needless for words, we know what she wanted to say and so we remained silent. But what made my blood boil to a hundred degree was the mere fact that she raised her voice at us and continuously insulting us. And more it, why the need for question if she doesn't even want to listen to the details we were to give her. I managed to speak and tell her a few things but only in phrases. It doesn't mean that we were merely students who still feed and rely from our parent's or guardian's money for our daily consumption, she has that right to insult us. Never in my entire life have I been treated with such disrespect. More to it, by a mere publisher of some country newspaper that doesn't even have a good name.
