It was another day last August 5, 2015 for the freshmen students of University of Santo Tomas, as they enter the famous "Arch of the Centuries" as part of their initiation rite of becoming an official "Thomasian" this school year.




These students are taking courses like Science, CFAD, Commerce, Nursing, Engineering, Accountancy, Architecture, Education, and Pharmacy, among others. All of them walked hand-in-hand, entering the Arch while being greeted by various alumni, school council, organizations, pumped up by the music of marching bands.





It was a very eventful day as sponsors like Kaymu Philippines, an online shopping community, setting up booths in Plaza Mayor, preparing events, contests and other activities to much delight of the UST students.







As to welcoming the freshmen students, Kaymu is empowering young entrepreneurs like students and making them aware of the rise of e-Commerce industry here in the Philippines.
Students lined up, downloading the Kaymu mobile app and joining the activities and giveaways.

To end the Welcome Walk party, performers and artists like Hale, Isabelle de Leon, Gracenote, Pedicab, Sandwich and Yellow Jackets provided music and entertainment for the crowd.
